The new version of Web based e-mail has a new look and also new functionality, such as signatures, setting default font styles and colors, and short-cut menus on right-click.

It is possible to search for and send to addresses in your Contacts or the Global Address List.
NOTE: A shortcut to
this method is to type the last name of the recipient in the To... line, then
press Ctrl + K on the keyboard.
Either the address will be completed, or a list of suggestions will appear.
To do this, click the Address book button at the top of the
window (looks like:
).
1)
Select
Contacts or Global Address List from the Find
names in:
drop down.
2) Type a name to search for (last or first).
3) Click Find.
4) A list of names will appear.
5) To send a message to anyone in the list, click on their name, then click the New Message button.

To delete one item, highlight it, then click the
Delete icon at the top of the screen
OR press the Delete key on the keyboard.
§ To delete multiple items, hold the Ctrl key down while clicking on individual messages, then click the Delete icon. To select a group, click on the first message, hold down the Shift key, then click on the last message, then click the Delete icon.
§ To permanently delete an item, hold down the Shift key and press the Delete key on the keyboard. Choose Yes to permanently delete the item.
To Empty the Deleted Items folder, go to the Deleted Items folder (click Folders on the left side of the screen) then click the Empty Deleted Items icon at the top of the screen (directly to the right of the Delete icon).
Click the Options folder to set a variety of options for Web based e-mail.

The Out of Office Assistant notifies those who send you e-mail that you are not in the office, and when you plan on returning.
1) Click the Options icon on the Shortcuts pane.
2)
Select I
am currently out of the office.
3) Type the outgoing message you want people to receive.
4) Click Save and Close at the top of the screen.
NOTE: Because there is no spell checking capability for the Out of Office Assistant message, be sure to proofread the outgoing message.
From the Web: Repeat Steps 1 – 2 above, and choose
I am currently in the office. Click
Save and Close.
From Outlook: Open Outlook. Click Yes at the Out of Office Turned On dialog box.
It is possible to set Outlook to check your Contacts folder before checking the Global Address List when checking recipient’s e-mail addresses. Under Contact Options, select Contacts, then click Save and Close.
It is possible to attempt to recover a message that was deleted from your Inbox and from the Deleted Items folder.
1) Click the Options icon on the Shortcuts pane.
2) Click View Items under Recover Deleted Items.
3) Any items deleted in the last 5 days will appear.
4) To recover an item to the folder it was deleted from (usually the Deleted Items folder), click on it, then click the Recover button.
5) To select multiple messages to recover, hold down the Ctrl key while clicking on individual messages, then click Recover.
6) Click Close to return to Web mail.
Logging off of Web mail ensures that your mail won’t be accessible to anyone that uses the computer after you.
1) To end your Web mail session, click the Log Off icon at the top right of the screen.
2) Click the Close button.
3) Click Yes.
